Richard Kerr
Mr. Richard Kerr is associated with BKS
Development Company since early 2004 as its Vice President Sales.
BKS Development Company is a consultancy
offering services in areas of organization and strategic leadership,
corporate finance, information technology, operations management and
internet-based customer experiences. During his tenure at BKS Richard
managed all aspects of business development, client acquisition and
client experiences.
Prior to joining BKS Development Company,
Mr. Richard Kerr was Vice President; Business Development for Perot
Systems Corporation, Richard was responsible for and directed business
development, including a joint venture between Perot Systems Corporation
and Citibank.
A recently announced exclusive partnership between a major EBPP
(Electronic Bill Payment and Presentation) Company and Perot Systems
Corporation was a result of Richard’s efforts to satisfy a need in the
franchising arena. This relationship resulted in significant revenue
opportunities heretofore not available to the group, as well as
associations with many premier names in the franchising industry.
As Vice President and General Manager, of Litton Enterprise Solutions
(LES), Mr. Kerr was responsible for and directed, the day-to-day
operations, including the development and operations group in
Carrollton, Texas, within LES. This was $200M per annum line of business
for LES.
Mr. Kerr has more than twenty-five years experience in the information
technology industry. Richard’s area of expertise includes not only
general management experience, sales and marketing focus, in information
technology, but he has been successful in several turnaround situations
of failing organizations within these lines of business.
Prior to joining Litton Enterprise Solutions Mr. Kerr’s five-year tenure
at voyager technologies included discovering, developing and maintaining
relationships with over fifty of the most eminent players, involved in
credit card transaction processing . Additionally, Mr. Kerr discovered
ancillary lines of business for both the clients as well as the
corporation.
At AWA, as its General Manager, profitability was attained as well as
adding additional lines of business. Out of the box thinking resulted in
many lucrative endeavors not seen in the industry before. Long term,
mutually beneficial business relationships were formed resulting in
win-win situations for both AWAs and its clients.
As Vice President, Marketing and Sales for PHH, LLC, Mr. Kerr held
responsibility for over five hundred employees, adding revenue streams
for this previously “one revenue stream” organization. Significant
inroads were created in the areas of innovative preferred client
programs, national accounts, and alliances with the the most prestigious
members of the community.
While directing Unisys (Sperry) New Business Group, Mr. Kerr added, for
the first time in well over eighteen years, new name accounts to the
client roster. New areas of endeavor included back office accounting
systems, innovative yield management systems and partnerships with major
players in this arena. During Richard’s tenure with this organization,
he received “Business Unit” of the year awards every year.
For over twelve years Mr. Kerr held numerous positions of increasing
responsibility in, sales, marketing and promotions, with Raytheon Data
Systems, in the United States and Europe. Richard directed the
victorious launch of the Raytheon’s first OEM product, “Signature 2000”
(Convergent Technologies) in the United States as well as in the United
Kingdom, Europe and Australia. During Mr. Kerr’s first year as a
salesman he was awarded “Rookie of the Year” and continued to attain
quota every subsequent year.
Mr. Kerr earned of Bachelor of Science degree in business administration
with distinction from Utah State University and a Masters degree in
marketing from Michigan State University. Mr. Kerr completed Raytheon’s
executive program at Harvard University in addition to executive
programs at the University of Southern California and Stanford
University.
