Richard Keith Turner
Mr. Turner is a seasoned professional with
a vast range of experience from sales & marketing to global business
development. His expertise spans a number of industries focusing on both
products and services. As a leader as well as an individual contributor
Rich has ensured consistent profitability and sustainable growth for the
companies he served.
Early In his career, Rich joined Softbank
Content and as general manager inherited a money-losing overseas
operation. By focusing on revamping its sales structure, bringing in new
management, and eliminating operational inefficiencies, he turned this
organization around, ultimately directing the sale of the resultant $20M
profitable enterprise to a local supplier at 2X sales.
Mr. Turner remained at Softbank Content
through the acquisition by Naviant/Equifax. Asked to manage this
transition for former Softbank customers, he achieved a 95% adoption
success. At Equifax Email Marketing, he helped establish a European
market that grew to $5M as well as identified new products and services
that generated another $1M.
Rich then moved on to ITS where he managed
its transition from a single vertical focus to a company with three
different vertical markets, identifying and cultivating relationships in
the hospitality and healthcare verticals – new businesses to ITS – that
enabled those markets to each contribute $1M to ITS’ overall revenue.
Leveraging his hospitality experience,
Rich became Vice President of Sales and Business Development for
Eventective, an eCommerce hospitality start up. He shepherded them
through a multi-channel sales strategy that doubled their business while
cutting their average cost of sales in half.
In his position at PartMiner Information
Systems, Mr. Turner established a collaborative sales strategy for an
Enterprise-wide solution that resulted in over half a million $ of
enterprise sales in his first few months in that position.
In his current position as Vice President
of Marketing for Content Analyst Company, an innovative Washington,
DC-based search technology provider, Mr. Turner completely revamped the
company’s marketing and customer messaging, and spearheaded the strategy
to focus on key vertical markets. Through his efforts, Content Analyst
will become the leading search technology used in the Legal Market by
2008.
Mr. Turner’s educational background
includes undergraduate studies in English Literature with a graduate
degree from Columbia University focusing on International Studies. Mr.
Turner has traveled extensively and lived abroad, though he remains
focused on the New England area, his hometown.
